The University Innovation Challenge represents a collaborative effort between Handelsblatt and Goethe University where emerging companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland compete across five categories: engineering, living, life science, finances and commerce, and materials.
Samsung supported the occasion and specifically funded the special prize recognizing "future of data intelligence." This award went to Bernstein for its "blockchain-based solutions for securing and managing intellectual property assets."
The recognition was presented by Steffen Ganders, Director Corporate Affairs at Samsung, to Jean-Maxime Riviere, founder of Bernstein.
